There doesn't need to be a special occasion to use these. As a matter of fact I make and use different ones around my house for the different seasons or hoilday's. They just add a festive and practial touch. When they get soiled they can just be thrown in the wash.
These are double sided so as not to see the not so pretty side of the embroidery (the embroidery is just on the one side). They are rolled hem stitched for an extra bit of umph and durability.
